David Weeks Studio pieces can be purchased by contacting our sales team at sales@davidweeksstudio.com. Private studio visits can be arranged for prospective clients in the Tri-State area. If you would like to request a quote or place an order, please email our sales team at sales@davidweeksstudio.com with model name/number and as much detail as possible regarding your project, choice of metal finish, shade color and tier number. If you have questions about any of above, our experienced sales team will be happy walk you through the process and offer recommendations. Please allow 24-48 hours for us to process your request.
Once a selection has been made and our sales team has received all relevant and necessary information, a non-refundable 50% deposit will be required. Shop drawings will be created within 72 hours for standard orders and lead times begin upon their signed approval. Lead times range from 12-18 weeks and can vary depending on metal finish and shade color. Estimates can be found on individual product pages. Our sales team can generally offer a narrower range at the time of purchase. Your finished order will ship upon receipt of the remaining balance. We do everything we can to ensure timely delivery and will always keep you informed of any delays due to factors beyond the studio’s control.
David Weeks Studio lighting is regularly made-to-order in our Brooklyn shop, allowing us to address each client’s specific needs and make customizations where necessary. That said, we do keep a limited stock of our best-loved designs on hand for our Quick Ship program. Quick Ship orders ship within 2-3 weeks. All are handmade with the same care and attention to detail as made-to-order items but feature fixed dimensions and a slightly limited selection of colors and finishes. Hanging fixtures selected for Quick Ship are packaged with a “drop kit,” which includes multiple lengths of drop tubing to suit a wide range of ceiling heights. Our made-to-order production process allows us to offer customizations on much of our lighting collection. Our sales team will be happy to guide you through the process and estimate any relevant upcharges or lead-time extensions, whether you’re looking at made-to-measure dimensions or a custom color statement.
The studio also offers a full custom design service that extends beyond our existing collections. Please contact our sales department if you have a project in mind. Please note that custom projects require an additional lead time to allow for both design and production. More about this service and examples of previous design collaborations can be found here.
Shipping, crating and delivery options are dependent upon size of piece and final destination. Generally speaking, smaller pieces can be packed inhouse and shipped throughout the US and Canada via UPS. For larger pieces, and all international orders, we outsource crating and shipping to a trusted third-party. If you have a preferred shipper, purchases can be crated for pick-up. Subject to production capacity, orders can be rushed for a 20% upcharge. Rush orders generally reduce a lead time by half. As all orders are handmade on-site by our small team, rush orders require pre-approval from our sales. Please contact sales@davidweeksstudio.com for more information.

The studio offers a 72-hour grace period, after which we are unable to accept order cancellations. This grace period does not extend to custom, Quick Ship, or rush orders. Due to the handmade nature of our collection, David Weeks Studio does not offer refunds. Returns are accepted on Quick Ship orders within 14 days of receipt for studio credit or exchange.
David Weeks Studio products are crafted by hand at our studio in Brooklyn, NY. While we take the greatest care in the handling and manufacturing of our products, subtle variances and irregularities in finish and color are inherent in the production process and should not be considered defects. Many metal finishes are applied by hand and may vary in color, tone, and character. While DWS will make every effort to match a finish, no guarantee can be made of an exact match. We do not guarantee finishes against fading and oxidizing. Regular polishing is recommended. Arms, hardware, and shades can be cleaned with a mild, non-ammonia-based spray cleaner or soft cloth to remove fingerprints or dust. Check to ensure that chosen cleaner is safe for your particular finish; if unsure, we recommend testing a small hidden area for reaction.
